The character behind the curves

Add warmth before you turn a single EQ knob.

Some boxes earn their place in a studio just by being in the signal path. EQP1 brings that idea to your session: harmonic richness, low-end density and a touch of grain, even with the EQ flat.

Give a synth more body or a drum break a rougher edge. Color and Drive let you choose how far to take it, from a warm finish to a sound with real attitude.

Go beyond the front panel

Make the mojo yours.

Open Advanced and tune the personality of the processor. Add bass weight, lean into the harmonics, let the color respond to the groove, or bring in a little of the noise that gives old gear its atmosphere.

Find the texture that fits the track.

Amount · Bass · Asymmetry

Bring out the body of a synth or the harmonics of a bass line. Amount sets the color, Bass focuses its low-end weight, and Asymmetry lets you explore a different harmonic balance.

Bass, kicks & drums

A low end you can feel.

Give a kick more weight and a bass line more authority. Shape the bottom with the classic boost-and-attenuate interaction, then add harmonic color for extra body.

Vocals, keys & guitars

Let the top end breathe.

Open up a vocal, lift the shimmer of a guitar or bring life to a piano. Broad high-frequency shaping adds air, while the color stage brings a warmer texture underneath.

Synths, groups & the mix bus

Put some soul in the signal.

Give pristine sounds a little grain and a fuller harmonic texture. Leave the EQ flat for color alone, or push Drive to make the saturation part of the sound.

A few details

Before you plug in.

Can I use EQP1 just for color?

Yes. Keep Boost and Atten at zero, or switch EQ In off. Color, Drive, Recovery and optional Noise stay active. Power bypasses the complete effect.

Is this an exact copy of a single unit?

EQP1 is an original interpretation informed by measurements across eight units. Its Advanced controls let you shape and exaggerate the character rather than stay tied to one fixed hardware response.

Can I turn the noise and hum off?

Yes. They have independent level controls and a shared Off switch. Disabling them leaves the harmonic color active. When enabled, noise and hum continue through silence.

Does Drive automatically match loudness?

Drive applies gain before the color stage and inverse gain afterwards. This compensates the gain increase, but saturation can still change perceived loudness. Use Out to make your listening comparison at a similar level.

Which formats are coming at launch?

The first release is planned for macOS: AUv2, VST3 and AAX Native. Final macOS and host requirements will be published with the installer. The desktop licence does not include a mobile edition.
