Purpose

The playground will provide a secure outdoor space for children from pre-school age to young teens to play. It was designed based on an envisioning session with the children and designers Nick Lemire and Jerry Greer.

The playground not only will provide for the children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development but will attract new children to the site, boosting enrollment in the after school programs and enabling us to provide services to children who do not reside in the Youth With A Vision center. It will be adjacent to the Preschool/ Nursery Day Care Center.
