Dubspot is a cutting-edge electronic music production and DJ school in New York City and ONLINE.

One of the original Ableton Certified Training Centers in the world, Dubspot has become the premier music school for experienced and aspiring artists alike. Just as importantly, Dubspot is an ever-growing community of musicians, DJs, visual artists, audio professionals, veteran producers and enthusiasts of all genres who share one thing — A genuine passion for music.

Dubspot’s number one priority is to enhance the creative process by working closely with each student and addressing his/her specific needs, customizing the learning experience along the way. Classes are kept intimate with fewer than ten students while our experienced instructors offer a refreshing, cross-genre educational approach in a hands-on lab environment.

Our wide range of music production and DJ programs, individual courses, and weekend workshops are offered throughout the year with flexible class schedules. Similarly, our facilities are available for student lab six days a week. Finding the right option for you is easy no matter what your experience and time constraints may be.

Dubspot also offers group classes and a host of professional event services, as well as DJ and VJ services and equipment rental.

Our Philosophy

At Dubspot, we believe that everyone can make music, regardless of past training and experience. We are focused on helping students of all ages achieve their music and personal enrichment goals, which sets us apart from other audio engineering and DJ schools.

Our philosophy is to put our students’ personal goals within their reach by focusing on the creation and mixing of electronic music on computers. We use a few affordable pieces of equipment rather than relying on large, expensive audio gear. We support the exploration of all genres of music within classroom/lab settings. And we trust our talented group of musically and educationally diverse instructors.

At the end of the day, our purpose is to help our students translate their creative vision into a finished piece of work.
